Our Lord never doubted.
He only despaired once: Eloi, eloi! Lama sabakh thani.
Correct! And this was not a cry due to the pain and suffering physically on the cross, rather this was because The Father turned from Jesus because He refuses to be in the presence of sin, and so for the first time in eternity, The Father and The Son were separated - void of communion. This was the "cup" He asked in Gethsemane if He could avoid, but He submitted to The Father's Will.

There is a Renaissance era painting called ‘The Crucifixion’
It is painted as from God’s “eye’s”.
Don’t recall the artist.
Jesus is looking up, above the cross bar.
The perspective is God looking down.
There is lots of space between them and the perspective shows Jesus getting smaller (comparing the size of His feet to His head).
God is perceived as leaving Him to die on the Cross.
I’ve never been able to find it on the internet but it is quite moving once seen.
As you can tell.
