Dr. Anthony Fauci called a study by Henry Ford Health System on the effectiveness of using hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19 "flawed" during testimony in front of a House subcommittee on Friday afternoon.
The study, which has been touted by President Donald Trump and other Republicans, contradicts other studies that found the drug does not effectively treat COVID-19.
Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer from Missouri, a Republican from Missouri, asked Fauci about the study and said that a doctor told him if zinc is involved, the drug would work.
Fauci responded by breaking down the study, saying it was a non-controlled, retrospective cohort study that had "a number of issues."
Those include, according to Fauci, the fact that people who received hydroxychloroquine were also using corticosteroids.
"We know from another study (corticosteroids) gives benefit in reducing deaths with advanced disease," he said.
"That study is a flawed study, and I think anyone who examines it carefully is that it is not a randomized placebo-controlled trial.
Luetkemeyer interrupted Fauci, saying the study had been peer-reviewed.
“It doesn’t matter, you can peer-review something that’s a bad study," Fauci responded. "The fact is it is not a randomized placebo-controlled trial. The point that I think is important, because we all want to keep an open mind, any and all of the randomized placebo-controlled trials, which is the gold standard of determining if something is effective, none of them have shown any efficacy for hydroxychloroquine."

Somebody neds to ask him if he is going to hold off recommending a vaccine until they have all gone through large scale double blind testing. I mean we need the right solution. It is not enough that the vaccine not kill you it has to be efficacious otherwise we will be sending people out there with a false sense of security.
The studies that show HCQ is dangerous have all used doses that would kill a healthy horse or have been given to patients who already had two legs in the grave. The claim for this drug from the very beginning was that it was an effective prophylactic if administered early. If that is not the claim being investigated by the study then it is meaningless. Science, science, science says you test the hypothesis, hypothesis, hypothesis not something that has nothing to do with the hypothesis like how much HCQ can you give a deathly ill man to give him a heart attack.

The article is truly posted at the NIH, but the journal is not the journal of the NIH—an exceedingly minor point.
Does he also label as flawed the highly manipulated studies that show hydroxychloroquine is dangerous? No. Agenda? Yes.
I call Dr. Fauci flawed.

Okay. Here is a graph. One could argue that this is placebo controlled (standard versus HCQ) and randomly assigned (by country instead of by individual):

Countries were randomly assigned to either use HCQ or not. Not using the HCQ and instead using whatever Fauci says etc. is the control.
Yesterday and today I have searched the internet for commentaries regarding Dr Simone Gold and the White Coat Summit to no avail.
It is, as if, she has left the planet Earth following the millions upon millions of people that watched the three videos on Monday and Tuesday.
Even when Dr Gold announced that she had been fired on Wednesday night there has been very few commentaries about her.
