I don't know what this discussion was all about but I see a question mark after Mt Hood so I presume you are asking if it is near Portland and the answer is yes it is.
I know the area. Have a relative that lived in Portland and visited there. Iirc it rains all the time. Not conducive to snow boarding. He’d have to go to Mt Hood and Whether the snow or conditions are good year round for snow boarding is questionable iirc.
