zinc (75 mg-100 mg per day),

I wouldn’t want to take even 50mg of zinc for very long. That’s a pretty heavy dose. And I’d also want to pair it with some copper-dark chocolate is my preferred source. LOL

75-100 mg is a lot of zinc. My multivitamin has 22 mg, which is listed as 200% of the DV. Add in the amount I get from ordinary food, I’m sure I’m not at 75-100, but I would bet that I’m another 10-20 mg beyond what the pill provides.

I think we do need to consider our food sources along with supplements. Vitamin C - I most likely get 200-300% of the DV every day from food alone. And another 200% from the vitamin pills.

Now, the D is not as easy to find in food sources. Yes, milk has it. And sunlight. Salmon, Herring, and Tuna are also good sources along with mushrooms that are grown in sunlight (which most are not). One of the things I specifically looked for with my vitamin was an ample supply of D. 50 mcg, about 2000 IU, from one daily multivitamin.

Now, about that dark chocolate - put me down as a YES! :)
