Not a question of if but when Juneteenth will be a Federal holiday. The talk is getting rid of Columbus Day and replacing it with Juneteenth. From a practical standpoint, having another day off in the summer time is always a good thing.

The left was waiting for an excuse to get rid of Columbus, who brought Christianity to the New World. There was a connection between George Floyd and Columbus: the George Floyd riots sprang from hatred of Whites. Columbus brought Whites to the New World, and so he was bad.

If you take off every federal holiday (10) and religious holiday (31 for now) and based on today’s environment you can swap religions like your gender anytime plus 104 days for weekends people don’t really work much anymore. That’s 145 days off out of 365.
Course I’m retired so every day is that holiday so I’m celebrating July 30th today.
