Here we go...Trump tweets about delaying the election

At the end of a string of tweets about the prospects for fraud with mail-in voting, POTUS capped it off with THIS a few minutes ago.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???

“delicate ears” You are not a gentleman so why don’t you get off your high horse about how immoral Trump is. BTW, who taught you it was ok to throw around teen boy potty language so freely?

Me neither.

Sometimes when my “real” world is a little crazy, the rigidity of some folks here feels personal. Then I remember, I can log off, read, and really work at posting.

It’s funny—I’ve gotten personal notes from people who have called me the worst names, bucking me up in bad times.

Overall, we are like the old guys sitting at the bar in the VFW.

You’re right, there is no reason not to have in person voting. I am working at the polls on Tuesday as a machine operator and the state has taken abundant precautions. They have provided masks, gowns if we want, face masks and have provided a way where there will be no touching the machines with fingers. I have long thought that early voting was detrimental to our democracy (will explain if need be) and mail in voting and ballot harvesting is a recipe for fraud.

The problem is that ballot procedures are under control of the states and there is really little he can do about it. An attendee in his Wisconsin Town Hall asked him specifically how he would stop this and Trump did not really answer his question.

The first and probably best line of defense would be each state's republican national committe/party challenging in their state court, which would likely go to the state's Supreme Court, Universal Mail-In Voting as being subject to fraud. The next line of defense would be for a state's republican national committe/party and the RNC to challenge in federal court, which would likely go to the SCOTUS, Universal Mail-In Voting as being subject to fraud.

I’d prefer Trump call for an extended period for voting, such as Tuesday and Wednesday in November. That would allow distancing, etc.

After all, the Rats extend voting into late evenings sometimes....

He sounds like a fool.

I’m not too keen on him “trolling’ this way either. To most voters, this wont’ sound like trolling. The casual voter will be alarmed by this, and it will feed the Leftist narrative Trump wants to “grab as much power as he can”.

“these governors whom Trump says are doing a “great job”. You can’t run on religious liberty when as a practical matter it has ceased to exist.”

You know, that’s an obliquely and snide knock on Trump you said here, that he doesn’t even remotely deserve. Donald Trump has done more for religious freedom than just about any living and dead Presidents that have gone before him. He was making a generic comment about Governors doing a great job, but you know full well that our President (that’s President Trump, not just Trump) has knocked vociferously those Dem Governors who have trashed their own states (Cuomo/Murphy/Newsom/the MI Gov whose name eludes me, but I don’t like her one bit/the idiot Gov in the state of WA, and in Oregon, etc., in just about any Dem controlled state).

I don’t appreciate you’re less than subtly slamming the one President that stands between us and a Biden run secular socialist Country that you will not recognize if the Dems win. If you want to see “ceased to exist” in reality, then go vote for Biden.

Your rather moronic comment doesn’t say much for FR does it?

Go stand in front of a mirror and read what you typed above.

I, too, have observed his public pronouncements from the 80s on the economy, China, foreign affairs, and what he said way back then he is implementing now, without fail.

As for his business dealings, I know nothing about them, except it amounted to snake handling with the people and the politicians he had to do business with.

Trump got fat in a snakepit. The ones who get fat in a snakepit are usually the biggest snakes.

No, Ma'am. It was not an oblique snide knock. It's a direct straightforward criticism. Trump is running on religious freedom while at the same time saying governors who close churches are doing "a great job". He declares churches are "essential" but yet they are still closed. It's a problem. He can't have it both ways.

Trump: The Radical Leftists want to take away your freedom!

Voters: Why? The doctors in your administration are already doing a bang-up job of that.

Universal Mail-In Voting won’t be an election it’s a rigging the democrats still can’t figure out how the last rigging failed.

In D.C. they have all the records of people in this country all they have to do is print the ballots with any name they want.

No more chad counting this scam is foolproof.

You just as well give it up and join your plight with the baby-killers and sit back and enjoy your sanctimoniousness.

And to extend the metaphor, snake handlers are never snakes.

We’ll see who was right in 20 years. True narcissists don’t tend to have long-term followers/friends, as they eventually become wise to being used.

Then you’re direct criticism is misplaced if you can’t discern a general statement praising Governors to keep their morale up during the pandemic, even if it wasn’t worded precisely enough for you to single out the few bad eggs in the basket of Govs, then you are entirely too petty for my tastes, and can’t yourself separate the wheat from the chaff. Prez Trump is the best thing to have happened to the religious community in protecting their interests than most Presidents that have come before him, and I continue MY direct criticism of your misplaced criticism of our President and I reiterate that you should therefore go forth and vote for Biden and try him on for size. Something tells me then you will truly have someone to hurl your petty criticisms against, over and over and over again, because I doubt you will like what Biden has to offer to the religious community in this Country. Because there won’t be much of a one left, in ANY state, blue or red.

P.S., the churches are closed in the DEM states, or Dem cities for those unfortunate enough to have to live in them, not in the Pub ones. I hope you are capable of at least discerning this little detail. Not all churches are closed. Churches in blue states or municipalities are closed. Big difference. Maybe you live in one of these Dem states and it has colored your attitude.
