I forget where it was, but 20 years or so I read a true story about a really nasty bully in a small town the name of which I do not remember. I think it was in the md-west.
One day he was shot and killed on main street in the middle of town.
The cops could not find a single soul who saw, knew or even heard of anything concerning it.
The town was that glad to get rid of the bully.
We could reach that point.

I think it was in the md-west.Yes....it was in Skidmore, Missouri. Town was too small to have a police force - shell casings were found but no one in town saw anything. Everyone agreed that he needed to be shot.

There was a (I think) Netflix mini series about that. It was a small,rural farming community. The guy was a real richard.
