Heaviside was self taught, lived with his mother, hated field equations - which to him were abominations- so he changed them into vector equations - thus becoming a “genius” on someone else’s dime.

I think I’ve read more books after 50 (i’m 52) than in all the years before :)

Actually it’s sad but it is what it is. Didn’t get interested until older.
