Giant is refusing to apply for the $3/ hour pandemic pay boost from the state of PA.
Their (lame) excuse is it wouldn’t be “fair” to employees in other states.
Someone in management at a local Walmart said that out of quite a few thousand customers this week so far, only one simply refused to wear a mask. She said that the management could “kick her out.” She was told to leave and left.
One other customer removed hers in the store and put it back on after being told to by the store manager. The thousands of other customers were cheerful and no trouble at all.
There’s a vast difference between the way some people behave with social media and the way they behave in person.

Giant is my number two go to store when I can’t find things at number one. I have not encountered any problems going maskless anywhere, including Giant. It seems that will remain the same. It’s really time to stop these silly games though. These mask have become people’s little baby blankets.
I hope Giant goes out of business.
Nearest Giant to me is in Bartonsville. I find their bagels to be the best of any of the supermarket chains.
A lady called in to the Rush show yesterday and gave the best arguments I’ve heard yet...she said is masks work, why are so many places shut down...and why do they release prisoners when all they need to keep them safe in their cells are masks...
what about all the people who routinely allow them to fall off the bridge of their nose? Should we not have a Federal response to the need to train people on how to select and implement safe mask wearing, not unlike teaching grade schoolers how to apply a condom to a vegetable?
