BLM protests came to our neck of the woods this week. Our county is about 99% white. Marched down main street. Apparently, not a big deal-no local news on the internet about it. I would be surprised if there were no counter protestors though.
Editor/Owner of local weekly wrote an opinion piece before hand. Basically said it’s America and everyone has an opinion. Be glad we can still state the opinion. Advised alternate routes to take to avoid congestion. Advised of Prayer Meeting at a local Church for entire community on the night before the protest which was Friday.
They went to a town about an hr. away and there was quite a gathering of counter protestors and one guy posted an on-line video. It was hard to see, but he kept yelling at them that they weren’t black-he said not a single black person in that BLM crowd.
He said in his introduction that he grew up in the hood in St. Louis. I saw American Flags, Back the Blue Flags, and Don’t tread on me flags. Couldn’t really see the BLM folks on the video very well.
