I’m frankly a little confused about recent events.
Death rate yesterday (per worldometer) was quite high — highest in almost two months. And the new obligatory phrase is “it’s going to get worse before it gets better”.
We have good weather and we have increased herd immunity. Some stuff has opened up but as far as I know most of the country is still somewhat locked down and not really behaving like “normal”. So why does this seem to be getting worse? Makes no sense to me.
“And the new obligatory phrase is ‘its going to get worse before it gets better’.”
And I believe that it was POTUS who said that at his presser yesterday. Thanks, Trump, for the negativity! (It’s not helping.)
Cases were up around the end of June...fatalities follow hospitalization about 18-25 days later (if not recovered of course):

Younger demographic & better treatment (with Dr. experience) means a lower spike in daily fatalities this time around. (1K’ish/day instead of 2K’ish)
