I would prefer Strudelfish. This way I can have a pastry swim right into my hands.
My Dad and Uncle took me with them to Coney Island back in the 50’s. We sat at an outside Oyster Bar and they gulped down Raw Oysters by the Plateful as I sat there looking on.
They tried to give me one, but no way. As an adult I have never walked into a Sushi Bar and everyone in the Family loves Sushi.
My Mother was a great Italian cook. I just couldn’t appreciate some of it like everyone else did, but her Sauce was like the Food of the Gods.
To this day we still can’t get the Recipe just right. Close but no cigar. My Wife and my Brother’s Wife both think my Mother left out one key ingredient. It’s like a storyline on Everybody Loves Raymond. My Mother took it to her Grave.
Her breaded Beef Liver was loved by all, but I hated it. I have this thing about eating “organ” meat. I told her it was eating a Blood Filter, which she didn’t appreciate.
I worked my way through Thursday Dinner’s until my Parents let me eat Dinner in front of the TV in the other room. The Dog and I enjoyed the Meal, especially the Dog. When the Dog died I had to come up with an alternate Plan, then I noticed the Heating Vents built into the Floor.
Years later I moved out on my own. That’s when my Parents decided to install a new HVAC System in the House. All the Ducting was replaced and the workmen found a bunch of Fossilized Liver in the two Ducts below the floor Vent covers in the Den.
I had to fess up when confronted with the indisputable Evidence. I was 23 Years Old and felt like a little Kid who got caught red handed doing something bad. My Mother laughed her head off.
Lol
Well...are their mouths big enough to suck up zebra mussels?
If so, consider releasing ‘em into the wild!
Must have slipped on a sea slug.
I don’t like fish. And I don’t like tuna much either but....I make tuna taquitos. They are sooooo good.
Summer of 64, when I was 18, Dad caught a 5 footer. A couple weeks later, I caught a 6 footer. above the mouth of the Klamath, near Klamath Glen.
First time I got it up to the shallows, I made the mistake of grabbing the narrow part, just ahead of the tail, and discovered the little ‘fins’ are very sharp, bony scutes.
