The GOP Senate Is Asleep at the Wheel

Is the Republican Senate Alive?

Republicans in the Senate have precious little time to show the American people that they’re actually still alive; still a party that pays attention; that they look up occasionally and remember who sent them to Washington, and who pays their salaries.

At a time when conservative and Republican voters across the country are looking to their institutions to lead, Republicans in the Senate could step up and actually decide to run the place.

All of them—every single Republican senator from Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on down—has the power to force votes to defend the police, diminish China’s influence, take a stand for people of faith, enforce consequences against Planned Parenthood’s likely criminality, or push back against the corporate takeover of speech, privacy, market access, and independent thought.

Yes, it will be hard. Senate Democrats will probably say mean things. They will, as Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) did when Mike Lee (R-Utah) stood up to condemn mob violence, use the procedures of the Senate to try to cancel Republican speech.

Great. Perfect. What voters desperately want to see—what they need to see—is Republicans unbowed in the face of woke assaults and progressive tantrums. Many times in politics the outcome isn’t the thing—the very act of trying, of digging in your heels and drawing a line in the sand, is enough. As Ben Domenech put it recently, “The thirst among Republican voters isn’t even for policy. It’s for seeing the politicians they elected join the fray.”

Being a Senator in the United States Congress is the closest thing no talent individuals can come to being rich, famous royalty. Why on earth would these needy low self esteem individuals ever want to rock the boat?

You know, that’s another thing—there aren’t really all that many “wives” anymore. Marriage has dropped to its lowest level ever in the US.

Men need to vote their interests and not worry about what their girlfriends/wives think. It’s a private voting booth (or private mail in).

Honestly, I’d rather them do nothing then the democrats do everything which is what they will do in 2021 if they get all 3 branches. They won’t let time waste like they did in 2009.

Therefore we should lose Mitch and Linda and still have the Senate, call it a sacrifice or justice. Cory Gardner was gone a long time ago, he just doesn’t know it yet.

because of Ryan and McStain

Let's not kid ourselves - two men (voted to leadership by their colleagues in the GOP) weren't the cause. There were dozens of GOP senators and hundreds of GOP congressmen responsible.

There are only ~5 of them of any use.

Name them. I can’t couunt a single one right now. They’re all hiding under their desks and at most tweeting.

We have antifa trying to burn down a federal court house on a daily basis and not a single GOP Senator will direct his fire at GOP Senate leadership to get some substantive Senate action in support of a federal response.

They want Trump gone as much as the Democrats do.
Turning the USA into North Mexico has been their life’s work.

A bunch of them are going to be gone with Trump if he loses. Gardner, Collins, etc. Frankly, they deserve to lose.

What do you mean by “all three branches of government”? When did Republicans ever have control of the judiciary?

That’s the truth. About 5 are worth a damn, the rest are cowards and idiots. Problem is that’s all we have to vote for in the GOP. They will all understand if Trump loses because most of them will lose their seats in subsequent elections. It’s a damn shame. We’ve put up with the GOP lying about what they will do with McConnell, Boehner and Ryan and now McConnell and McCarthy.

The GOP is like the ghost of a corpse in the back of the hearse on the way to the cemetery. They are dead but their ghost hasn’t figured it out yet. The Vichy sold out the party long ago to the left.

The GOP Senate Is Asleep at the Wheel

You presume that, if they were awake, they would be working for the good of America.

This is a serious error.

I’m not sure which is worse: Having them asleep at the wheel, or having them ‘Woke’.

Either way, they are not on our side. The Senate is a Fraternety / Sorority, ( Sigma Epsilon Nu Alpha Tau Omega Rho) and they love their most despised member (or ex-member) more than they love their most beloved outsider.

the “can’t lose the majority”, and want to gain the majority in the House? Why!

WHY?

We are almost at the end of America, thanks to them, and you ask why?

They want the majority so they can have more foreign wars to benefit aliens. They want the majority so they can open the borders completely. And they want the majority to finish their work of crushing the white working class.

And boy, it's going to take one hell of a lot of money to turn back the ass-kicking they are about to get in November.

So, if you support their goals, go ahead and send them a few dimes.

But for a few brave souls, the GOP Senate is in on the putsch; the coup, American Kristallnacht, the burning of the Reichstag.

They’ll be content with a few scraps and scrums from the banquet table that will be the Demokrat’s Thousand Year Reich.

The nation that practices Human Sacrifice drives itself mad.

We have arrived at the Mountains of Madness.

Chthulu/Biden 2020!

No they are not asleep

They are led by Uniparty folks

Uniparty folks never use power when they have it, on purpose

When they dont have power they also do nothing because “they aren’t in power”
