IIRC, Discord is a place people can go to make comments on FAKE NEWS articles that would not be allowed past the censorship of big tech. I don’t think it’s just a gamer thing.

You are correct...Discord started as a “gamer centric” site, but now has many non-gaming topics.
I use Discord because it’s better than Steam. Steam keeps going down/voice cutting out.
