Kent Brockman has said it before and hell say it again: Democracy simply doesnt work. Its a view also embraced by the president and vice president of the University of Connecticuts Undergraduate Student Government, who spurned the students who voted for them four months ago by resigning their elected positions. Their rationale is both ludicrous and probably genuine: White people shouldnt lead. VP Alex Ose was the first to go last week, according to The Daily Campus. She cited the climate and incidents of racial injustice across the country and at the university without elaborating on whats wrong at UConn (or why she cant address the perceived problem as an elected official):

I used to insult people on here who talked about a second civil war. I owe an apology to all of them. I really hope it never happens. What Trump has done is sped up the timetable on it. And it is a favor.
