Still no word on Kim Foxx’s handling of the Jussie Smollett case
The Chicago Tribunne ^ | July 16, 2020 | John Kass

It’s been almost a year since Dan Webb was named special prosecutor to investigate Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s epic bungling of the Jussie Smollett hate crime hoax case.

In just a few weeks, on Sept. 24, early voting begins. There is a choice between incumbent Foxx, the Democrat protege of Toni Preckwinkle, the Cook County Democratic boss and president of the County Board, and Patrick O’Brien, a longtime criminal prosecutor and former judge.

Voters are waiting for Webb’s report and answers to a series of troubling questions:

Did Foxx give Smollett — the Hollywood actor and Obama White House entertainer — special treatment after she spoke with attorney Tina Tchen, the chief of staff for former first lady Michelle Obama, a Smollett fan?

Did Foxx commit prosecutorial misconduct by indicting Smollett on 16 counts, then abruptly dropping the charges, while insisting she had “recused” herself from the case even though she did not?

“He’s got to come up with a result before early voting begins on Sept. 24,” O’Brien told me Wednesday. “You can’t have people voting on this race without answers, or some kind of conclusion. Voters have the right to know if they’re going to be voting for a state’s attorney under indictment for official misconduct.”

During the Smollett fiasco, Foxx’s office insisted that after those private communications with Smollett’s celebrity friends, she recused herself from the case. Then her office told me she’d only recused herself in the “colloquial sense.” That was it. I was done.

Since then she’s avoided commenting specifically about the case.

Do I have reservations about Foxx?

Yes.

Foxx has doubled down on stupid by declining to prosecute arsonists, looters, and vandals arrested during the rioting in Chicago.

She is the George Soros candidate for prosecutor.

She must be the cousin of the StL prosecutor harassing the McCloskeys.
Both Soros-bought.

Case will be thrown out. Systemic Racism (and Kamala Harris) forced Jussie to enact this skit)

The judicial system is now simply a shield used to protect some people and a weapon used to persecute other people.

Wonder if they’ll try to bury it. Democrats are winning again with African Americans with all of the rioting, protesting, and hype.

Last thing they need is something that will counter their message.

Oh that’ll take five or six years to figure out.

Around the country, prosecutors dismiss charges of all types against leftists, and prosecute anyone else to the hilt.
When we are no longer ruled by law, then force is all that is left.

The entire Political Establishment in the city of Chicago is rotten to the core. Don’t expect anything that will hurt Foxx or any other elected official.

“Around the country, prosecutors dismiss charges of all types against leftists, and prosecute anyone else to the hilt.”

Yep. They’ve extended “Democrat politicians are above the law” to now just be “Democrats are above the law”.

They’re not going to like the alternative to “the law” though.

The fact that this is even being talked about is ludacris. Kim Foxx is a joke as a civil servant. She was so obviously affected by Michele Obama’s lacky, that she just stepped in after recusing herself from the case and dropped all charges without giving a reason. She ought to be in jail for that. The Obamas getting involved and pressuring her is total corruption in government. Kim Foxx is totally corrupt. If she wins re-elecion, the system is corrupt.

Having failed several times when trying to interfere with national elections, Soros began targeting low hanging fruit: local prosecutors and secretaries of state. While the prosecutors are obvious targets for subverting law and order, the secretaries of state are also vital to the Soros scheme — in many states these officials count election votes.

This really needs to be pursued if Harris is under consideration for Veep. During the early innings before the Smollett fiasco blew up, Harris was reciting talking points to reinforce the bogus hate crime story about Jussie being attacked by MAGA cap wearing thugs. As soon as Foxx funked it up, Harris changed the subject and backed away from it.

It all seemed too coordinated.

For the first time in my life I have lost complete and total respect for each and every local elected official.

It’s a smart and evil strategy, and how many conservatives have called it out or fought back? Very few.
Conservatives (notice I’m not saying the RINOs) need to employ the same savvy ground game.
