White House coronavirus advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci said the United States is seeing a surge in new Covid-19 infections because the country never shut down entirely.
Early in the outbreak, U.S. coronavirus cases peaked at around 30,000 new cases a day before falling and plateauing at roughly 20,000 new cases per day, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. As some states began to reopen in late April through June, new cases began to surge, Fauci told Stanford Medicine Dean Dr. Lloyd Minor during an interview.
"We did not shut down entirely," Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said. "We need to draw back a few yards and say, 'OK, we can't stay shut down forever.' ...You've got to shut down but then you've got to gradually open."
The U.S. has reported more than 3.3 million Covid-19 cases and at least 135,205 deaths as of Monday, Johns Hopkins data shows. As of Sunday, cases are growing by 5% or more in 37 states and also Washington, D.C., according to CNBC's analysis of the data. The seven-day average of U.S. cases is more than 59,100.

Media is launching #operationtakedowntrump and that’s why you will not hear them report on lowered fatalities from COVID-19.

cases aren't necessarily surging....IF they had done random testing early on like I suggested on FR months ago, we would have found out that the virus was already probably pretty widespread....
but now we're testing all these people, a lot thru the nazi contact tracing, and people without unusual symptoms are being told that they are positive...
virus is here...its actually a GOOD THING that people are catching it because we will develop more immunity and a virus normally becomes less potent as it wears on...

Or people thinking that wearing a strip of cloth over the nose and mouth mitigates any risk without resorting to other measures.

The ever-present AI security cameras are “learning” to identify masked people.
But I’m sure there’s nothing sinister going on there.

the whole thing is complete bullshit. I think part of it is ‘contact tracers’ in lines to get tested. Even if you go to test and test negative, you get counted as positive because you were ‘near’ someone that was positive. Then you also have the chance that the positive result is due to the common frickin cold. Look at the CDC website for that one.

il duce cuomo said yesterday he expects a spike in cases in NY this october and he’s already blaming Florida...rest assured any spike in cases will be those they are not counting now because they don’t want the protests getting blamed, and are holding till october.

NO dumb ass Fauci..the reason why we have a surge in cases is because no one and I mean NO ONE had the balls to tell these protesting pieces of crap to STOP IT..we are in a pandemic yet you see 50,000 people outside walking, screaming, 80 percent without masks..but hey the AMA said that “Protesting is essential” THAT is why we are in this mess..but since the media, academia were supporting these jacka@@es since they vote Democrat, it was fine

btw for those interested, Costco has the simple face masks for under $20 per a box of 50 masks....even if you don’t believe in them, they might be required as we go forward and it would be good to have some handy...

I think its interesting that a couple weeks after every new heavy-handed dictate about wearing masks is given, the number of WuFlu cases rises. People are noticing that...

Remember, frequency doesn’t indicate severity. Something to MSM wants us to forget because it reports the testing numbers as if frequency = severity.

This guy is the ultimate double-talking skunk. I haven’t forgotten that he was encouraging people to hook up on Tinder if they were “willing to take the risk” back in May.

Everyone loves a good dystopian future movie. Mad Max, I Am Legend, The Omega Man, Planet of the Apes, The Stand, World War Z, 12 Monkeys. The Walking Dead has been going for 10 Seasons, plus a spin-off. This is our only frame of reference for a pandemic, not counting the Black Death and the Spanish Flu.
People in general are susceptible to mass hysteria. Y2K, The Maya Calendar, all sorts of end-time prophecies. It’s like we are always expecting disasters. And depressed people who are miserable in their lives do not like to see other people happy. It sucks for them.
It is statistically factual that half of all people are of below average intelligence. Well, almost half, because of the one guy who is exactly average. But everyone else is either of above average intelligence or below it. I personally am above average intelligence. Therefore, I will not let the majority of people tell me what to think because they are not more intelligent than I am.
So if you want to get caught up in a frenzy generated by people who are basically stupid and subject to hysteria because of their choices of entertainment, go right ahead.
Not me.

I was exposed to someone who tested positive, was tested on 7-7 and came back negative. I quit watching statistics because they did not tell you some important things you need to know. I think the virus is real, but not nearly as potent as it is billed. For the most part, I think the statistics kept and the media hype is a scam.

Would have been easy to with the few crossing points of the Delaware River.”
I didn’t think the Delaware River ran anywhere near NYC.

Not sure Fauci said much of anything new at all, never mind anything that CNBC would like to twist into the headline.
To: John W
It appears Trump has smoked him out into open rebellion. Judging from how Kayleigh’s presser today kept mentioning other doctors he is in the process of being isolated.
