Going to hospital is pretty much an Americanisim now. I hear it all the time. So is ‘going to University”. So is saying ‘I’ve never been’ when meaning “I’ve never been THERE”.
I haven’t heard those in my neck of the woods. Wouldn’t surprise me in more populas places though.
Sounds like we’re being re-invaded.
