From a cultural perspective the role of team sports is tribal warfare practice, not just for the warriors on the battlefield but all the support systems and emotional buy-in of the civilians. But that was before the development of the internet and high definition video games that teach war strategies and tactics far better, and without anyone getting hurt. We don’t need the legacy tribes anymore.

They have already lost more than they know. The ‘gentlemen’ who are trying for the megacontracts might want to go ahead a take the cash. Case in point is Dak Prescott, who will get 31.4 million on the day he reports by playing under the Franchise tag. Mahomes signed a long term contract extension for $450 million over ten years, but he only gets $825K and 4.5 Million for 2020. I think that Prescott made the better deal by getting the 31.4 million on day one, because I doubt that Mahomes will ever see more than the $5.3 million he gets the first year. If I am wrong, then Prescott can get a new long term contract when play resumes. I don’t see how the NBA or the NFL survives this time. The NBA is beholden to China, and perhaps they can ship the whole lot of them to Bejing. Goodbye! As far as the NFL, I would rather watch replacements and those who are there for the love of the game and support their country than pay for a bunch of rich primadonna racists who support the BLM Marxist Company...
I haven’t watched pro black-sketball since it became a technical foul to have a white guy on the court.
