No!
Maybe as part of joining military.
WTF is it with FR lately
spit!
The first lesson in growing up is that you take the results of your decisions ( good, bad, or both). The second lesson is that there are always trade offs (no free lunches). If you push down on one part of your waterbed, it pushed back up at you in another place. If you got sn education using someone elses money, you are expected To repay it. which brings up another important lesson in growing up - keep your word and honor your debts, promises ( or nobody will ever trust you again). Finally, it sure helps to be thankful for the blessings you got ( such as student loans monies That enabled you to get the education you wanted - And especially when you had zero income and no ability to repay).
Yeah, sure - they will immediately switch and become staunch Republicans!
Regards,
First eliminate all future student loan guarantees, then we’ll talk about it.
So I save... skip vacations... dont buy a boat... let the roof leak... drive a beater... put my kid through college... then the rat bastards who had all of the fun and forced their kids to run up debt to go to college..... look like the heroes in the end?
Hell to the no.
First some people want him to set a path to citizenship for illegals in some cases and now someone to wipe out student debt? What about my car loan? Or the mortgage? All personal loans taken out across the country? hell if we pay everything for everybody everyone will vote for Trump.
No phucking way
He’s the President, not flippin Santa Claus.
Trump can ensure the loyalty of millions of beleaguered graduate debt owersNope, most of them are dyed in the wool libs and will spit in his face. Dems are without honor. 'Loyalty' is not in their vocabulary. They'll vote Dem even if the 'rats tax them to death and put them in the poor house.
I paid my student debt back IN FULL and EARLY because I wanted to get on with my life, and I gave my word. A friend had it worse than I did but paid back $100K in student debt.
who will never own a homeExaggerate much?
Don't try to make suckers out of honest people and give yet another pass to irresponsible ones.
The proper solution is to recoup unpaid loans from the parties to whom the money was paid. You know, the guys who bribed the government into setting up the student loan scam in the first place and profited wildly and obscenely from it ever since.
This is the post I disagree with the strongest of any post in the past month or two
Won’t do any good. They’ve been indoctrinated. They are Pol Pot Democrats.
How about mortgage and credit card debt too? Free helicopter money for everybody! It’s not “bribing the people with their own money in exchange for votes”, it’s “social economic justice in exchange for votes”!
YEAH!!!! And while he is at it, give Reparations to every person who has any epidermal melanin, and give every child a pony!

Why ? My son got a job in his field after he finished school and paid his loans of ahead of schedule ? I had always planned to help him, but could no longer work because of serious health issues.
If he and millions others can do it, why should these brats avoid their responsibility?.
No. Those students won’t become more benevolent towards the right as a result. They think they’re entitled to it anyway, and will mosey on along like nothing changed.
I wisely, unlike my friends, chose a field to go into and refused loans and government assistance. Granted, I ran out of money and had to stop going, but I didn’t want to be saddled with that debt. Meanwhile, my peers couldn’t decide what to do, or chose a worthless field, and took out massive loans to study it.
My mom paid her way through school. My dad was a mechanic. It’s not something you’ll ever sell me on. I can’t agree with tax dollars being spent to alleviate bad decisions or risky loan-taking.
Military service is perhaps one exception I would make. I’d go in, but they don’t want me. Bum heart and a transplanted organ.
Make the colleges that got the money pay it back.
Put the colleges out of business.
