Trump should forgive student debt
Freep | 07/13/2020 | CharlesOconnell

Many people find such a suggestion outrageous. But after pulling the rug from under Dems on Immigration, Trump can ensure the loyalty of millions of beleaguered graduate debt owers who will never own a home & delay getting married, and wrest them away from the Bernie/AOC camp. Yes, it's not good budgeting, but consider that the secret owners of the Federal Reserve create monies out of nothing, loan it to the Federal Govt, then recoup it back thru making American workers Tax Plantation N-Words for 40% of their time. The whole system is fantastic. Watch Trump on student loan forgiveness.

How about mortgage and credit card debt too? Free helicopter money for everybody! It’s not “bribing the people with their own money in exchange for votes”, it’s “social economic justice in exchange for votes”!

No, he should propose legislation to require colleges to be co-signers on student loans from the government.
Should the loan go into default, the college pays up!
Those are our tax dollars!

Why ? My son got a job in his field after he finished school and paid his loans of ahead of schedule ? I had always planned to help him, but could no longer work because of serious health issues.

If he and millions others can do it, why should these brats avoid their responsibility?.

No. Those students won’t become more benevolent towards the right as a result. They think they’re entitled to it anyway, and will mosey on along like nothing changed.

I wisely, unlike my friends, chose a field to go into and refused loans and government assistance. Granted, I ran out of money and had to stop going, but I didn’t want to be saddled with that debt. Meanwhile, my peers couldn’t decide what to do, or chose a worthless field, and took out massive loans to study it.

My mom paid her way through school. My dad was a mechanic. It’s not something you’ll ever sell me on. I can’t agree with tax dollars being spent to alleviate bad decisions or risky loan-taking.

Military service is perhaps one exception I would make. I’d go in, but they don’t want me. Bum heart and a transplanted organ.

Make the colleges that got the money pay it back.
Put the colleges out of business.

…Yes, it's not good budgeting, but consider that the secret owners of the Federal Reserve create monies out of nothing …

Consider that we are all born in original sin…

Is there therefore nothing that we cannot justify?

One bad policy is held up to justify another, where will the good begin?

Rather we rush headlong toward a fiscal cliff, oblivious to moral hazard and oblivious of the cliff.

Better idea: tell colleges to issue their own student loans, and be in the hook for defaults.

Suddenly, colleges would stop accepting unqualified students, and stop offering classes that did not prepare someone from holding a job.

Even if he won the grad student vote by giving them a free pony which is doubtful, that is not a reason for going full pander Democrat and running up the debt to buy votes.

And furthermore most of these loans were co-signed by a Parent. It’s a legal contract. Most of these mush brained kids were clueless what they were getting themselves into, the Parents weren’t. Go after them if Mush Brained kids stop paying.

I disagree but I do think lowering interest rates on higher interest loans should be considered. Some are over 8% and higher than current market.

Why should me and any other American taxpayer, particularly one who hasn’t any children have to pay for some other kids college debt? Pay your own bills kids. Lesson number one; If you can’t afford it don’t buy it.

And mortgage debt! And credit card debt! And...………………

Just wait until the Globalists introduce their "Re-set." You may get your debt "forgiven" - if you comply with certain....."criteria".

I get it, you have debt you don’t want to pay. But what a horrible idea!

All those poor schlubs who didn’t rack up student debt they can’t afford for an indoctrination holiday will rightly feel screwed—because they will be screwed by such a plan.

Just stop giving out more student loans. Stop it. Let cost-effective college solutions take over instead. Like students working for their own tuition. Online learning at legit online learning cost. Those who work to excel academically getting rewarded by those with scholarships to dole out. Etc.

Those joining the military get paid, often with housing and meals and healthcare covered, while also receiving lifelong benefits. Indebted college refugees without more lucrative prospects can already sign up and pay down their loans from that.
