UFC investigating cutman’s QAnon patches
“The UFC is investigating one of its cutmen regarding patches he wore during a match on Saturday night that represent the controversial group QAnon.
QAnon is an online group known for espousing conspiracy theories and the cutman, Don House, admitted he was aware of the patch’s meaning, according to MMAFighting.com.
“All the conspiracy, all the stuff they say about the group, I’ve got nothing to do with that,” House told MMA Fighting on Tuesday. “I just like the message: Where we go one, we go all.”
The FBI declared the group a domestic terrorist threat last year.
When notified of the connection between House and QAnon, the UFC disavowed any link to the group and in a statement sent to MMAFighting.com said it was investigating the matter.
“This was a violation of our staff event outfitting policy,’’ the statement said.
House told the site he knew he had to receive permission from the UFC to wear the patch and didn’t do so.”
