Exactly. “Hispanics” - which generally means people in the Americas united by having Spanish as their first language - can be very diverse ethnically. The majority are probably of European or European- mixed descent, but even if they are of African or Indian descent, they accept the ideas of Judeo Christian culture...and that’s the important thing. The skin color doesn’t matter.

Most of us are of primarily Spanish ancestry-it shows in the DNA-our ancestors came from Spain starting in the early 1500’s-it was only when they got to the Americas-both Caribbean islands and mainland-that they interbred with non-Europeans in any numbers-Native Americans mostly, but some Blacks, too-since both groups were slaves to the Spaniards, they were conveniently captive-Spaniards seldom met another group of people they didn’t want to enslave and/or steal treasure from-probably a legacy from those Roman ancestors...
