The head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the agency will not revise guidelines for reopening schools this fall, after President Trump said they are too expensive and burdensome, but will work with local school districts.

I heard the same thing in April (https://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3834525/posts). Heard the same thing in May (http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3849921/posts). Same thing in June (http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3851711/posts). Now its July and Im still hearing it.
I'm sure I'll keep hearing it's almost over right on through August, October, December... right up until President Trump is able to widely deploy a safe and effective vaccine.
Schools are also part of the unemployment puzzle, since for young children, regardless of whether its online or homeschooling, you need at least one parent at home to supervise.
So if a teacher or a kid gets sick, we would have to shut down the whole school. But why?
