This is one where I've stayed quiet, because I'm not sure about what's going on. Tubberville was a coach, and I covered him some when he was at Texas Tech. He was one of the sleaziest coaches I ever covered, and high level coaches are extremely sleazy.
So, I've never been sure if the Trump/Sessions feud is theater or what, cause that's one thing that doesn't make sense in this. I suppose it COULD be theater, cause if Sessions really put the mechanizations for investigation in place, there might still need to be a distraction, but I'm about as MAGA as it gets, and it would be really hard for me to pull the lever for Tubberville. Not my state, so for me it's hypothetical.

When Tuberville left TTU he sort of disappeared. One of his other coaches which I happen to know was meeting some recruits for breakfast. Tuberville was supposed to meet them but he never showed. The other coach called to see where he was and only then found out he had flown the coop. Classless. I would not vote for him. He left everyone hanging but probably a good riddance situation.
Re: Sessions/Tuberville:
I think everyone in Alabama got the same mailer I did - “Sessions’ anti-gun” thing. About his support for a bump stock ban.
I messaged Sessions on his FB page and asked “him” about addressing that and trying to counter that argument but haven’t seen any response. Also haven’t watched the Tucker Carlson interview so he may had fired back about that, don’t know.
Have to work the polls next Tuesday. :-/
Thanks for the personal assessment of Tubberville.
I am 100% sure, actually more, that the so-called feud with Trump/Sessions is staged, for more than a couple of possible reasons, which in the interest of full disclosure, I will list.
1. Dems thinking Trump wants Tubberville may vote for Sessions.
2. If Sessions wins, he will not be seen by msm/Demsheviks as “Trump’s lapdog” which may be useful.
3. Trump doesn’t want Sessions to win as there is another vital role for him to play.
4. If #2 is accurate, by creating a seeming distance between Trump and Sessions, Sessions will seem less partisan, not “Trump’s lapdog”, in new role (prosector in upcoming trials, and/or witness as well).
5. Red laser light for Demshevik targets to look at so they don’t notice other stuff like all the investigations that Sessions set in motion and/or other stuff the DoJ is doing.
I agree that POTUS endorsing Tuberville is puzzling. But I’m still operating under the assumption that Sessions will be vindicated. If that is the case, now would be a good time for it.
