One of my sons has 2 children in public school. He and his wife have decided that they do not want the boys going back in the fall. They will continue with distance learning.

Re POTUS battling for schools to open:
This is great!
The Catholic school near us is doing it like this:
Fully open. Desks will be distanced in the classrooms. The remainder of the student body will be at distanced desks in the gym and follow along with the lesson (with teachers supervising the to be sure they are working) on Zoom.
Students will spend half the day in either location then switch to the other location for the second half.
The next day, the order will be reversed. So, every other day you are in the classroom with the teacher for that subject.
How sensible! Students still at school all day and learning with supervision by professional teachers.
