It’s a fairly positive interview especially considering he is not totally out of the woods yet. What a horrible drug. Considering the percentage of people who fall foul of it you would think better monitoring of patients would be a given.
What drug was it?
Benzodiazepine
I hope I spell it right Benzodiazapine
Wow, what an incredible video.......benzodiazepines , I’ve never even heard of this drug let alone how pervasive it appears to be.....
Xanax is in this drug class
Benzodiazepines are a type of medication known as tranquilizers. Familiar names include Valium and Xanax. They are some of the most commonly prescribed medications in the United States. When people without prescriptions obtain and take these drugs for their sedating effects, use turns into abuse.
Adivan and Kolonopin are also benzos. My husband has been on them for years for his PTSD/anxiety. Fortunately, not with any abuse or issues.
They gave me some powerful chit after I had shoulder surgery. I got it, but I didn’t touch the stuff. The pain was manageable.
And the stuff had a fantastic street price!
Benzodiazepines are a class of drugs called anxiolytics.
Xanax is a type of benzo as is Valium.
You don't have to take these without a prescription to abuse them.
An hour-long podcast is too much time to sacrifice to theses hucksters, although given the crazy story presented in the last proof of life video it will take that long to rationalize his addiction and dangerous behavior.
Now granted, all the earlier health and drug use claims could be lies, but since they came from the Petersons, that would hardly help their credibility.
In short, unless the cause of JP’s massive addiction, crippling depression and other mental/emotional problems is not directly related to money, i.e. his family is literally on the doorstep of starvation, he should not be returning to his old career.
The amount of drugs he was taking and the extremity of his treatment show the man is not well and should be looking to his health, not compromising it by trying to be a public figure.
Let Myquisha bring home the Canadian bacon for a while and get your head straight, JP. None of this is worth your life.
Very interesting, concise video that describes it very well.

This man is seriously in need of a savior, Jesus Christ. Any psychological cure without the help of the Holy Spirit is incomplete. All his advice over these many years was like a movie set propped up by two-by-fours behind the scenes. His philosophies were a mask over depression and drug dependencies. Just when his wife needed him to be strong for her in the face of incurable cancer, he fell apart at the thought of losing her. I agree with the above post that he needs to retire from the advice business.
Yeah - I had some percosets after a couple surgeries - they offered fentanyl but I turned it down - took a total of 4 ((2 for each surgery with a single dose upon getting home and one before bedtime) and after that, Aleve worked fine.
Turned the rest in at a pharmacy disposal box.
Once I realized I didn’t need it, I just dumped them in the toilet.
Understood - my post was an excerpt about what they comprised...for most folks, taking them exactly as prescribed will not result in issues - it’s the folks that like what they do and decide to use them “recreationally” instead of only as actually needed for severe pain/distress that end up with the problems.
Unless, of course they have a doctor who has no ethics and who prescribes them merely because the patient says they need them....
That’s how I would normally do it - the wife didn’t want me polluting the sewage water...go figure.
