The mayor says she is done trying to negotiate with protesters after the girl's death
After a night of a dozen shootings, including one in which an 8-year-old girl was killed, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms on Sunday said protesters could no longer occupy the Wendy’s where a police officer shot and killed Rayshard Brooks last month.
The girl, identified by police as Secoriea Turner, was killed not far from the scene where Brooks was shot on June 12, Atlanta’s Fox 5 reported, citing police.
Police said Turner was riding in a car with her mother and another adult when a group fired multiple times at the vehicle, hitting the girl.

About all she could do is call on the governor to bring in the National Guard. I do not see this happening.

The black community is just as complicit as the mayor for not speaking out against this hate and violence when it first exploded.
Sorry. Not being a liberal I reject the group guilt concept. You are responsible for what you do. Not for what some other people who happen to have skin who's shade is near your own does.
Most of them, especially at the social economic level this family is at were doing the exact same thing as the rest of their community, going on with their lives and waiting for the whole thing to blow over. Very few people live politics the way people on this board live it so they honestly do not see what is going on. Their "news" consists of a partly heard half hour of what the majority is weather, sports and commercials.
You are doing the exact same thing the liberals are doing which is looking at skin shade and then making assumptions about what people are. Sometimes you are right but sometimes you are so very wrong.
I’ve been in in Georgia now 23 years,and during this time Atlantans have only ever elected black mayors, some of which have ended up in prison.
Not sure what that happens to do with anything. I would bet you that all of them, however, were demonRATS. Which does have something to do with things.

Just using the language the leftists use in exposing them for the frauds that they are. Further decades of democrat run cities lead to yet another cycle of violence and looting including Atlanta. You want change, then vote for it.
That’s a trickle. Most are afraid to speak out for fear of being ostracized as this demonstrates.
Meanwhile Trump remains fearless against the onslaught of the wicked forces arrayed against America.
