I hear you. Last Thursday, I dropped my motorcycle. Planted a foot wrong and down she went.
M*#@$&F*%+!
And then I did something incredibly stupid; I tried to pick it back up by myself.
Back said: F*$&# No!
Still paying for it. Thankfully, two good young men happened by and lent a hand.
Lesson of the day? You aint mid twenties anymore, and the bike was a lot lighter 35 yo ago. Or, h/t to Little Feat, dont make promises, your body cant keep.
I’m glad some guys helped you pick it up.
I HATE not being in my 20s or 30s anymore :)
52...I need to start exercising more and typing less :)
Cool that you ride a bike though
i have a challenger...fast cars and bikes..two things that can make you feel like you are 20 again without the physical effort :)
Years ago, out walking, I saw a girl dump her motorcycle. Hit some sand on a corner. Chain came off, jamming the rear wheel. She was on the petite athletic side, and was having trouble moving the bike.
I dragged it off the to the side, unknowingly burning my leg on the cylinder wall. Since I was wearing shorts, I had a nice group of parallel lines on my knee for a while.
