“She had been expected to attend Friday night’s event at Mount Rushmore. Sources familiar added Trump Jr. tested negative. Neither has been in direct contact with the president and did not fly on Air Force One. She is asymptomatic. After testing positive, Kimberly was immediately isolated to limit any exposure. She’s doing well, and will be retested to ensure the diagnosis is correct since she’s asymptomatic, but as a precaution will cancel all upcoming events”

Just proving a point I make with others often: “new cases” is a meaningless statistic without quantification of the persons symptoms. Quarantining will just slow the development of herd immunity which may well be the only thing that prevents more people from becoming sick, since no one has developed a vaccine for any coronavirus yet.
