For the most part, each successive generation is getting more liberal. It’s the only way to explain why native Texans voted 51-48% for Beto over Cruz 2018. Thank God for the Texan transplants, who went 57-42% for Cruz.
Cruz was unpopular in 2018 due to his antics with Glenn Beck and his anti-Trump stance in 2016. In addition he didn’t even campaign.
If you look at the gubernatorial race in 2018 Abbott cruised to a very comfortable 13.3% win (1.1 million votes).

Texans voted for Beto because more Texans are former Mexicans. Look at a map of Texas and you’ll see the big Beto votes are along the border.
Also young people who have much to TAKE from their delusional impression of what socialism is are different than the same person in their 30’s who has much socialism can STEAL from them.
