I just like Rand and follow his career.. I also follow other conservative firebrands like Gohmert, Gaetz, Jordan etc. and post stuff about them when they do something interesting..
Having planned for retirement and then followed through I can report in my 70's I have more disposable income than while working. And I have donated more to political candidates in the last 4 years than in the last 40 combined.
For those interested, best advice I can give is, not have much or any debt to be servicing in retirement.
It makes me very happy to hear that.
Alas, you are probably in the minority.
I am sure many live comfortably.
Not many live more than comfortably after retirement.

A few years ago I would have dismissed the ‘perpetual war for perpetual peace and dividends’ meme. No more. The Neo-cons (what is left of them) love interminable conflicts which are big enough to keep a good sized piece of the US military entangled in them. The neos argument's about the need for state building and expansion of ‘democracy’ by warfare all ring hollow. But the money to be made off of these endless engagements is great.
Good luck. I hope you succeed. Someone gave me that advice when I was in my mid 40’s so it can work if you keep your nose to the grind stone and work at retiring debt instead of incurring more.

The only thing you need to know about Rand Paul is he is a strict constitionalist. That sacred document protects us and Rand Paul protects the constitution.
I wish Rand could win a POTUS race he would actually be a good POTUS!!
I retired 6 months ago and I also have MORE disposable income than when working I am a very happy retiree!! Also not one penny of debt HAPPY!!!
