My town. This happened about two weeks go. Hundreds turned out, exercising their 2nd Amendment rights, protecting businesses from the mobs that pummeled Spokane, WA —35 miles away— the night before. The minivans came in, saw what the odds were, and turned around.
And, the “militia”(for want of a better term) spoke with those peacefully protesting, and told them that they were their to protect them, as well. A great moment!
A few years ago, after my wife and I moved here from California, we went to the rodeo.(My wife was born here, and her family came here with Kit Carson, so they let me in.) Anyway, we want to the rodeo, and during a break in the action, the announcer asked how many people were from California. A few of us sheepishly raised or hands, to which he replied: “Welcome to America!”
He was right, Coeur d’ Alene Idaho is America, or at least what it used to be. We are blessed to be living here.
