I reported to college as a clean-cut, short-haired, extremely athletic (but also extremely nerdy) science and engineering student, expecting to ... well, you know ... I was male and college was full of females.
I was smart enough to comprehend almost immediately that, in college, the girls were not interested in guys with "Letter" jackets and good physiques who were majoring in physics; but were more interested in some super skinny, long-haired, scraggly Brit dropout named Mick Jagger and others of even shadier ilk.
So ... like 98% of the rest of my entering freshman class (it seemed) ... I quit getting haircuts for a few years and started venturing to the places the chicks went who were (ahem) interested in modern scientific breakthroughs such as birth control pills.
The cops didn't like people with long hair, and didn't seem to care that the whole long-hair movement was caused by the females sending out signals of a certain type to young male brains.
At least that's the way I remember it.

The fact is, unconstitutional laws get passed all the time, that’s why we have a Judicial branch. If the Illinois law requiring people who are detained or arrested to get truthful name, address and DOB information to law enforcment is unconstitutional, then someone should challenge it in court. But until that happens, it is the law of the land, the female in the video failed to do so, and she was lawfully arrested as a result. The law is clear:
Sec. 31-4.5. Obstructing identification.
(a) A person commits the offense of obstructing identification when he or she intentionally or knowingly furnishes a false or fictitious name, residence address, or date of birth to a peace officer who has:
(1) lawfully arrested the person;
(2) lawfully detained the person; or
(3) requested the information from a person that the
peace officer has good cause to believe is a witness to a criminal offense.
(b) Sentence. Obstructing identification is a Class A misdemeanor.

I’d guess you don’t like this law very much but that’s a different argument. You can fight what you feel is an unconstitutional law in court but that is not going to prevent being arrested, charged, and sentenced.
LEOs are given guidence every day from their superiors as to where they have discretion and where the don’t. Maybe in this case the officer could have just used his discretion and let them go, but after seeing a battery in progress and the female attempting to leave the vehicle, there’s no question he had probably cause to stop them. That was why I said this wasn’t just harassing someone over a broken tail light. If the guidance from department heads does not allow for discretion in domestic cases, then that wouldn’t be an option. Like one commenter said, if the cops let them go and she ends up dead two hours later, who gets the blame?

I checked 8K for ideas re the drop. It obviously depicts the "Thin Blue Line" flag used to portray support for the police. I saw heartening comments supporting the police.
But first, I'll pause for a prayer:
May God shield and protect all our good police, renew their strength and shower them with public support and appreciation, grant them wisdom and patience for the extreme conditions they are facing.

I checked Wikipedia and the paragraph Google cited is listed in the Wikipedia article in the section titled "Controversy." Google selected from mixed content (some parts of the Wiki article noted its association with support for police) to choose the most negative assertion (e.g., against BLM, pro white nationalist).
Based on the chronological entries in the "Controversy" section of the Wiki, it looks like the psyop/campaign to attack the Thin Blue Line (the rule of law) started in earnest in November of 2016 (coinicidentally, a month that changed the fate of our nation). T
his flag has the same enemies as those who speak or work to support the rule of law. Naturally, those who seek to destroy our country falsely associate it with White supremacy etc.

My opinion:
I think negative connotations of the flag are less likely. I suspect Q might use other ways to imply negative info re police other than using the US flag.
I believe the flag in the drop is provided in a similar vein to the flag in other drops. In war and peace, we support our country and the rule of law. Prayers up, for our country and our police.
