The editor of the world's biggest Harry Potter fan site has urged supporters to stop buying JK Rowling's books and films over the author's 'transphobia' row. Ms Rowling has faced an intense backlash since she took issue with an online article about 'people who menstruate' last week - including from actors starring in the movie adaptations of her novels, such as Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson. Then yesterday, it emerged that a school in West Sussex dropped its plans to name a house after the author, telling parents Ms Rowling was 'no longer an appropriate role model for our community'.

Can’t be said enough. She helped usher in this garbage, and now she’s getting the consequences. She’s obviously going to start apologizing. Just a matter of when.
Yes, she has quite a bit of power as Harry Potter still brings in a lot of cash
She should stick to her guns and see if she gets “canceled” by those that make so much money from her
Its easy to cancel Gone with the Wind
Harry Potter franchise is not so easy
She may have one of the world’s largest stacks of FU cash!
Shes got plenty of FU Money

But in the experience of the SJW and cancel cancel culture of the media, the wealthier you are, the more you’re afraid to lose it. The one thing she has going for her is that she has already earned hers and isn’t relying on current capital for her future
Millions of little Bolshevik-Menshevik conflicts. Revolutionaries always eat their own less pure revolutionaries, and all society is diminished.
Everywhere liberals are stomping their round cardboard glasses in a hissy fit.
She’s a billionaire so why should she care?
On one side, you have an author who has made over a billion dollars, is still writing new material despite that past success, and has the personal strength to say that the emperor has no clothes to the crazy mob. On the other, you have a “fan” who has spent almost her entire adult life focused on some books by that author and has joined the braindead, leftist mob to the point she has rejected the very author that gave her life meaning because of a disagreement on one particular issue. While I don’t approve of Rowling’s politics and think the Harry Potter series is overrated, there is no denying who is the better model for others.
BLM is a trany feminist org, not for blacks. They are in a dilemma no dount of associating Floyd with this but are not quite willing to unmask themselves yet on Rowling. They have a morale issue.
Wow.
Having been a casual, adult fan of the HP series for years, two things about Annelli immediately come to mind. The first is that she looks to be about 3x the size she was ten years ago. The second is that biting the hand that feeds is a BAD look. JKR has gone out of her way to be kind and accommodating to Melissa for years: Inviting Melissa, and Emerson Spartz (Spartz was web director for Mugglenet, which was Leaky’s main competition at the time) to her home several times for interviews, and also giving Annelli and Spartz kind and thoughtful gifts. Not only that, JKR wrote the foreword for Mellissa’s first book.
Biting the hand that feeds.
People are getting sick of being told what to do, I think.
I doubt ANYONE is going to listen to this crybaby.
Ironically, in order to be transgender, you have to establish and support that there are two genders, so that one can change from one to the other.
It simply reinforced gender stereotypes, just like labeling toys as *girls toys* and *boys toys. So when a girl wants to play with *boys toys8, then she’s transgender. Likewise with a boy who wants to play with girls toys.
They actually enforce gender stereotypes by labeling the toys and then making the kids conform to whatever it is they like to play with.
Rather, the higher your current income is, the more afraid you are of that income stream being disturbed.
She has assets, which I assume she has invested wisely, which will keep her and her descendants living very well for generations, even if nobody ever buys another of her books and nobody ever pays her an additional dime for movie rights.
You are correct that JK Rowling has enough money to withstand being canceled by the SJW culture.
There are also some large corporations involved. Her publishers: Bloomsbury in the UK and Scholastic here in the USA. Also two film studios: Warner Brothers (now owned by AT&T) produced the movie series, and Universal Studios (owned by CommScope) has a large investment in the Harry Potter sections of their theme parks.
It will be interesting to see what these corporations do. Will they through JK Rowling under the bus, or will they try to prop her up?

Well, a the first thing that a *good* agent or publicist would do would be to tell her: “Sorry, Joanne, but no more twitter or facebook, effective immediately. You’ve had just a little too much twatter and fecesbook for your own good. No more social media for you. From now on, everything you say in the public sphere outside of the books, themselves, will be vetted and edited. No questions, and no exceptions.
Did she ever recant on suddenly make Prof. Dumbledore gay after years of him not being so?
The books and the movies are good by themselves. The problem is the author and two of the main stars in real life.
Have to give kudos for encouraging kids to read. Those books sure did wonders for reading scores.
