Walk Away From Woke Apps
www.freerepublic.com | 6/11/2020 | Self

Not really a protest or a movement. Just an idea for us to combat SJW's who threaten to boycott everything that offends them. Pull out your phone and/or tablet and start deleting any apps that are even remotely linked to the woke movement. Many companies track and place a high marketing value on the number of devices out there that have their app installed. For me, the biggest purge was sports apps...just ditched all 7 of them. If you want to take it a step further, go to your social networking accounts (FB, Twitter) and unlike/unfollow any and all woke entities.

The only thing on my phone that didn’t come with my phone is the Weather Channel and Waze.

I’d love to, but you can’t delete Facebook or ESPN, or a bunch of other preloaded apps form the phone maker.

Turn off Google Maps Timeline!

It only labels locations deemed "objectionable"....like shooting ranges!!!!

I just checked, and I don't have FB or ESPN on my iPhone.

No problem. Most adults don’t have all that kind of crap on our iPhones / iPads.

I got rid of Twitter completely. Have Facebook, but stay off of it except to look at cats and babies.

Still on YouTube. Now I wonder if my “likes” are going to get me crucified.

Yes, in general, get off almost all social media.

Defund the PC cops.

Also, LinkedIn has been way too woke lately. Hard to get off that, though.

I’ve just started Parler. Too little traffic yet to impress me.

An excellent suggestion.

I don't have Fakebook, Twatter, SnapChit or any other of those social media apps on my phone.

With all the spyware and malware out there in the Android Google Play store (I'm not an iOS user so I cannot comment there) my practice is to only install those apps that I use on a daily basis.

That means I have the following apps only installed:

SMS (need that for girlfriend and my two sons)
Blackberry Work (work related emails)
Outlook (personal email)
Camera App for taking pictures
Gallery App for viewing pictures
Picture Editor
Waze (driving directions)
Spotify (music while driving)
Bank of America App
AVG AntiVirus
Malware Bytes
Geico Mobile (Auto Insurance digital cards)
Zelle (send money to friends for jobs they do on my behalf)
Symantec VIP Access (2FA app for work.)

Everything else is GONE from my phone, including the Verizon bloatware that was put on it. My phone is unlocked since it's paid for, so I was able to remove that.

I am and always have been very careful about what I allow on my phone and what I use my phone for. My online banking app has access to one account only and that's my debit card to check the balance. That's it.

Yeah, I heard that. And I don’t use it much as a direct result.

It must be a Verizon thing then. Can’t uninstall them.
