Raise prices to compensate for the increased inventory shrinkage.

These things dont happen randomly. They were secured because they WERE stolen. The others were not... for the opposite reason.

Idiots. I’ve seen the technique. Walk up to a self-checkout registers. Scan and bag all of the items. Attempt to pay, but clearly don’t provide a suitable payment. Kind of look around. Cancel the transaction. Pick up the bag(s), pull out a receipt from your pocket, casually walk around like you are looking for something, and then head out the door. Saw this happen clearly three times back in California. Two black males and one black female.

Walmart locks up their game cameras too.
I feel so disrespected.
Where do I sue?

What does it matter even if they steal all of the products? With no police, who is going to stop anyone from stealing?

From what I recall, *all* small beauty products were behind locked cases at Walmart. We know why they did this, but I thought they were trying to treat everyone the same by locking up small beauty items that were easily placed in a pocket or purse.

This is laugh out loud funny. I did loss prevention for Walmart and if you wanted a few quick stops the “ethnic” section was always easy pickings. BTW, I overheard a lady complain about calling it the “ethnic section.” Racist dontcha know. She was going to call “her” president and complain.

Walmart has decided to forfeit not only the profits but the cost of those products. A small sacrifice to gain the goodwill of a swath of its clientele. This is appeasement on the cheap.
Trouble is the Broken Windows theory; by essentially communicating to some of their customers that stealing is acceptable, Walmart will experience much more shrinkage of inventory than some trivial hair gel or what have you.
To: Red in Blue PA
I’m not a person of interest er color. I buy the multicultural hair products because they do what I need them to do.
Glad I just stocked up online.

As for the rest, MW just won’t restock.
