Walmart will no longer place multicultural hair care and beauty products in locked cases in any of its stores, the company confirmed Wednesday.
The practice, which Walmart says was only in place in about a dozen of its 4,700 U.S. stores, has received criticism for the implication that the customers who buy these products, largely people of color, cant be trusted. The cases must be unlocked by a store associate, and the products are usually then taken to the front of the store for purchase.
If they are stolen, we’ll never hear about it because Walmart won’t even try to keep them. They are essentially throwing dog treats to the wild pack of mongrels, but they won’t be satisfied until Walmart lets them loot their stores nationwide.
Very funny!
it means, like baby food, people will shop lift for themselves or to make money selling to bodegas.
High stolen items are often locked up in stores like walmart and cvs. Usually, baby food products, electronics and tobacco products.
They would rather take the losses than be embarrassed by all the celebrities criticizing them for using common sense loss prevention.
Walmart will very quietly and slowly leave areas where there was looting and damage to the stores.
In some cases, all they need to do is just not re-open the store.
If asked they can “slow walk” it and say they are working on repairs but “waiting for parts” or “negotiating contracts”.
I have seen many businesses pull that stunt in ghettos in our state. They make big promises that get lots of press coverage, and then they drag their feet, have lots of reasons stuff can’t seem to get done, and then very quietly abandon the project.
Years later another developer buys the abandoned property from the city and holds their big press conference, and the cycle begins anew.
yes....just wait for it.....
“We need to change that.”
Why do “we” need to change that? Writing off pilferage is a common practice among all manufacturers and on down the supply chain to the retailer. Just as there is “Lost and Damaged” product due to shipment, handling, etc. there is pilferage among employees. So why do we need to change that?
you mean raise prices on the straight hair products don’t you....
Yup
“Raise prices to compensate for the increased inventory shrinkage.”
That’s the primary bitch fielded by stores in urban areas. Rioting happens anyway, then Mama has to take the bus or train to a sto about 10 miles away, blow half the day and return with melted frozen goods and wilted vegetables.
what do the hair products do for you...curious....
Before long, they will just no longer carry those products.
No, they will not arrest a person of color for shoplifting in these times. License to loot, license to steal.
As if they weren’t locked up for a reason.
We all pay more because of the “multi-culturals.” They loot, they steal, they kill, etc. Morally bankrupt.
Hear ye come steal us blind! Are they going to keep liquor locked up?
They will raise the prices to make up for the lost inventory causing everyone buying to pay for the stolen inventory.
Get Woke....pay for others free stuff ... paying for the looters
Only grape drank and Colt 45.
No taking Tide Pods without a prescription.
