How can schools take control of what is taught? Are parents or grandparents allowed to sit in class rooms? No, the schools dont want to be inspected or critized.
Parents should home school, neighbors could home school. That is about our only hope at this point.

Try showing up to the PTA meetings and school board meetings once in a while instead of crying and complaining.
And DO NOT tell me that doesnt work. The problem is that parents have no time for the kids education and even go so much as to let the schools raise them.
And people wonder WTH is going on? Its the good peoples fault.

I agree. When the schools in our small town started switching from books to computers, I realized it was likely to keep parents from seeing what the kids are being taught and it did do that.
Another thing that has bothered me is that several times we went to graduation services and there would be a kid there who would receive some BS LULAC award and the kid would give a looong speech, all in Spanish, with no translation for the rest of us, which I thought was VERY rude, considering our taxes paid for the kids education. I'm thinking likely LUCLAC encourages such a thing.
