I knew about Dresden (a little), but never heard of Harris.
This seems like yet another example of how the “bad guys” are on both sides of wars. Yet more evidence that it’s the “elite” people on top calling the shots for their own benefit (wealth, “entertainment”) to the detriment of the rest of us.
And look at the parallels to what is going on today. “targeting German economic activity” vs. targeting US economic activity. Covid-19 and the rioting have both had their greatest impact not in terms of deaths (because the death toll is actually near or less than normal), but on the death of the US economy.
2.5 million jobs added in May. Unemployment 13 percent. Brace for impact. Pretty good numbers considering what all is going on.
Bomber Harris is legendary, but it was a political decision to destroy the German cities both to degrade their industrial capacity and as revenge for the population center bombings in UK during the blitz. Nobody felt sorry for the Germans until that generations children had grown up. It’s like only focusing on Hiroshima and ignoring Nanking, the Phillipines, Singapore, and Pearl Harbor.
