Likely I will never need it. I have a 130 pound male Great Pyrenees. He hates strangers. When anyone pulls up in the driveway he barks incessantly, even if it’s me, my wife or my son. I got rid of my driveway alarm two years ago.
If I get to them first at least they will have a chance.

Reminds me - when my Dad was in the hospital he asked me to go get his guns since no one was at home and he was afraid someone would steal them.
