I’ve got hundreds of 45, but the odds are, if they sense a person willing to shoot to kill (in self defense), they’ll move on. In the meantime, I’ll be dialing up the local PoPo. Our city police are Ok, but the county is really trigger-happy. They’d enjoy crushing a good riot, I think.
Also got some rifles and the trusty old mossberg pump 12-ga with 00 buckshot.

I heard a scanner call for shots fired last night about dusk to the next subdivision over, less than a mile away, out here in the country. I walked out front and sure enough boom, boom, boom, I heard about 10 rounds spaced apart like target shooting. Deputy called back in, said he’d poked around but didn’t see anything but the woman was all upset, heard “dozens” of shots. Figured a hoard of invaders was just over the hill I guess, announcing their presence like in the old cowboy movies. Probably one of her neighbors emptying out some brass.
“That’s birdshot. It won’t kill a man. It’ll just pepper him up.”
