Those pictures are horrific! First off, CNN, BBC, and other news agencies aren't reporting things correctly. Some things they make up. On other stories, they interpret it with their own political biases. They are not at all impartial. As long as humans have existed, there has always been one group of people pitted against other groups of people. It is a lesson of sin which has to always be continually rejected with each generation. In the US, sadly, there has been a history of crime and murder based on race. (To be sure, murders have always occurred in humans, remember Cain and Abel.) Murders of black people by white people in the US is not the leading category of murders here. Blacks kill blacks, whites kill whites, blacks kill whites, and whites kill blacks. Actually, whites killing blacks is by far the LEAST category of murder. But, because of our history of slavery, it gets the most outrage.
That did happen recently, I think, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Minnesota is a state in north central US, near Canada. I have never been there. It is cold and snowy in the winter and is known for lakes, I think, and dairy products. I digress. The murder of a black man by a white policeman has rightfully outraged every caring and justice-loving person who has seen the video. People want to right that wrong.
But, in expressing that outrage, enemies of the US have decided to escalate that into riots and violence against much of the establishment in the US. I personally think that some who oppose the US and our Constitution are using this to try to overthrow the government. I think our country is under attack, not by a country, but by those who want to impose a different, perhaps communist, government here.
So far, the violence has not reached my town. I also don't think it will succeed in accomplishing much because when we, Americans, are pushed too far, we fight back. I hope it doesn't come to that.
I apologize for such a long answer. I don't know yet if I have been correct in what I've said. I do know the man, the policeman, who killed George Floyd has been fired and has been charged with either murder or homicide (which is a lesser penalty). I wish we could apologize and bring George Floyd back to life.
Pray for my country, please.
Is there anything else I should add?
Sounds good.
Beautifully expressed
