CNN also pushing a story about NYPD kneeling to “protesters”.
When a plane landing on a carrier first touches down the pilot pushes the throttle to full. This is to ensure that if they don't catch a cable the plane will be able to regain altitude and reenter the landing pattern.
If the plane catches a cable, the pilot immediately retracts the throttle to idle and retracts the tail-hook to release the cable so that it may be reset for the next plane. He will then follow the taxiing instructions of the Yellow Shirts.
