It’s just the flu, bro.

Most Freepers are religious. Almost all of those religions/denominations, when they interpret the Bible, call for at least Christian fellowship. For Catholics and Anglicans communion with God is a public event.

The point is that the atheist left has found something, a lockdown, that weakens faith. Individuals may say that their faith is as strong now as it was before Coronavirus. But in aggregate this is terrible for the faithful. The reason is that, in many cases, their own religious leaders are saying the benefit that God provides by having people get together at Church/Mass are being outweighed by protecting people from a stupid Wuhan Flu. If religious leaders think so little of church attendance then many will either fall away or fail to join.

In ancient Roman times Christian leaders were very willing to expose Christians to possible death by worshipping God. Where are the Christian leaders willing to do the same now?

+1,223 DEAD
+22,658 New Cases

Now exceeding total all US war deaths since WW2. All since Feb 29.

Good points. I’d say our faith in the Lord might not have been weakened, but our trust in church leadership - the little trust that was left - has been utterly destroyed.

The churches are tripping all over themselves trying to prove how obedient they are to the State, even to the point of imposing harsher restrictions than does the State.

The puzzle of Romans 13 is that it was written in a high time of Christian martyrdom.

Conservatives seem fixated on the death count rather than total cases terminal and otherwise, one liberal board I frequent pointed out. OTOH the look at the total cases, and instances of difficult breathing, et al..

Any freepers pay attention to the effects of CV other than death?

But, but, but..."If it saves just one life, it's worth it!"

The murder rate in Democrat controlled states is higher than that in Republican controlled states. Therefore, people should be prohibited from voting for Democrats. After all, if it saves just one life...

Meantime, we'll have to agree to disagree on the flubro issue. I honestly don't know what to make of the CV (medical) disorder. But remember, people die lots of ways (FWIW I will be 59 in 3 months, Lord willing). Sorry if I was disruptive. See you around the FR threads. FReegards and God Bless PDJT who has my vote again, and the USA.

a lockdown, that weakens faith.

Yea, but does it?

If religious leaders think so little of church attendance then many will either fall away or fail to join.

Then, what you're saying, is religious 'leaders' provide people with faith?

Are you sure that's how it works?
