EXCLUSIVE: Lines of cops in riot gear defend home of the ex-officer accused of killing George Floyd and fire rubber bullets at protesters as angry crowds gather outside for the third day

Day 3 of protests outside the home of disgraced former Minnesota cop Derek Chauvin turned violent as cops in riot gear lined the streets keeping protesters at bay. For most of the day there was a steady stream of about 150 protesters outside the former cop's home. Chauvin hasn't been seen at the house since the story broke that he was the policeman who knelt on George Floyd's neck for eight minutes while arresting him, before the man died.

I guess these people think the crowds that used to assault police stations wanting to lynch a black suspect was okay.

Those looters just take away attention from what appears to have been a blatant act of injustice. Finally watched all the videos today, and even after the person stopped moving (and up to the point EMTs brought a stretcher) the knee was on the suspects neck. Now the story is shifting to looting, and the looters don’t understand they are not helping.

I am quite curious though how the cop will defend the kneeing - it appears it wasn’t part of H2H training protocol for that PD, the suspect was cuffed, and not just that but it went on for minutes (and continued even when the person was clearly not responding/talking etc). If it goes to a jury of 12 it will be difficult to explain how a rational person could put a knee on a restrained suspect’s neck, and keep it there for so long and during a point where people started mentioning he wasn’t responding (including a woman who claimed she was a Fire Dpt Medic).

Not to mention that the guy doing the kneeing has a number of accusations against him.

I really wonder what defense he/his lawyer will give. Although I still wouldn’t be surprised if he got away with it.

They should arrest the cop who murdered the young black man.

Good people in Minneapolis need to pack up and get out... property values are going to drop, violent crime will skyrocket and stores will disappear.

What will be left?

Liquor stores, thugs, people too poor to move, and whiny black women lamenting that white people have nice stores and they don’t...

“protecting their own. what cops do best.”

This morning Fox showed a jewelry store owner who’s shop was completely looted and basically destroyed. It had been there apparently for years. I’m sure the guy paid his taxes for police protection but received none when he needed it.

Poor guy....most insurance policies were amended after LA riots to EXCLUDE any claims resulting from riots. He lost everything......should have shot back.

“Good people in Minneapolis need to pack up and get out.”

And go Kalifornicate another area and make it just like Minneapolis in a few years.

If the Killer wasn’t wearing a Magic Blue Costume during the violent attack that took this man’s life, he would have been Arrested and Booked on the Spot, none of this would be happening.

How long did it take to arrest the thug that attacked the Michigan nursing Home resident. Where are the riots? Detroit is due for a great riot.

So, its OK to let a mob exact vigalante justice rather than this this man getting his day in court? Do you believe in the Constitution or only sometimes?

Isn’t this guy’s house made of “brick and morter”?

They fall back from defending the precinct house but they draw a hard line at this cops house? I don’t get it.

That’s not what I said and you know it, here is a link to help better understand some of the words I used:

Do Suspects in a Criminal Homicide Investigation normally or routinely receive Police Protection at their Homes while being Investigated??

Day in court? The guy has not been arrested. That’s why the people are angry across the country.

If he’s arrested before the evidence is assembled and a case built, he walks.
