I am quite curious though how the cop will defend the kneeing - it appears it wasnt part of H2H training protocol for that PD, the suspect was cuffed, and not just that but it went on for minutes (and continued even when the person was clearly not responding/talking etc). If it goes to a jury of 12 it will be difficult to explain how a rational person could put a knee on a restrained suspects neck, and keep it there for so long and during a point where people started mentioning he wasnt responding (including a woman who claimed she was a Fire Dpt Medic).
Not to mention that the guy doing the kneeing has a number of accusations against him.
I really wonder what defense he/his lawyer will give. Although I still wouldnt be surprised if he got away with it.
I certainly hope not. It was unconscionable -- the people on the sidewalk were begging the kneeling cop to stop. Then they witnessed him die. It will give them PTSD for the rest of their lives.
when was the ambulance called?...before he stopped breathing or after?...
had he swallowed dangerous drugs and the cops didn't want him to move?...
but still, he clearly stopped breathing....why the kneeling on his neck?...where is the humanity....
