Dobbs/Fitton was intense but there was nothing in there from Trump.
Is there another Trump statement you are referring to?
Wray appears to be performing a perfunctory review in an effort to “look busy” and possibly throw some agents under the bus for violating P&P.
I will continue to maintain that Wray is simply a placeholder.
Put in there because (1) He was an easy A&C for the Senate and, (2) certain things need to be completely cleaned up before Trump can nominate a loyal fighter to the job.
We are hearing about Wray much more now because Flynn is about to clean-up.
That will be the marker to move Wray out.
We should recognize that, just like Sessions, Wray took the job and immediately filed his resignation with the President.
(He’s got Barr’s resignation in a desk drawer too.)
I continue to look back at Comey’s summary of his one-on-one meeting with Trump as FBI dir.
Comey said, “He asked me if I’d be loyal to him.”
That tells me a lot about Trump and how he operates an administration.
