NYPD officers approached Garner on July 17 on suspicion of selling single cigarettes from packs without tax stamps. After Garner told the police that he was tired of being harassed and that he was not selling cigarettes, the officers attempted to arrest Garner. When Officer Pantaleo placed his hands on Garner, Garner refused to cooperate and pulled his arms away. Pantaleo then placed his arm around Garner's neck and wrestled him to the ground. With multiple officers restraining him, Garner repeated the words "I can't breathe" 11 times while lying face down on the sidewalk. After Garner lost consciousness, officers turned him onto his side to ease his breathing. Garner remained lying on the sidewalk for seven minutes while the officers waited for an ambulance to arrive. Garner was pronounced dead at an area hospital approximately one hour later.
The shirts are from that incident but conveniently fit this latest situation quite well.
Police Station located in the autozone area of MN just had power go out. Power lines are on fire somewhere, autozone has collapsed, Wendy’s next door may be on fire. Construction area now reported on fire.

"The shirts, a reference to the final words Eric Garner uttered before he died after a chokehold was applied by an arresting police officer, have brought questions to the players wearing them. Players like Derrick Rose, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant have brought clarity to the issues. The disparity between the significance of black lives and the power of the police has reached "a tipping point," as Bryant called it. "
When are the "I can't breath" face masks coming?
I wrote shaming comments on the t-shirt at Wal-Mart and Amazon. They should be shamed.
