My take - MY brick and mortar is worth MORE than the life of any thug that would seek to steal or destroy it. To think otherwise is to be a slave to the state, where ones' own work and earnings and wealth are of no value to the individual, but are instead the property of the master state.

Oh, and “The right of the people to be ^secure^ in their persons, houses, papers, and effects,” would necessarily include their property/business.
